Abstract

Electro catalytic competency was exhibited by ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles modified screen printed electrode (SPE) for sertraline oxidation. This study showed that the sensor has exceptional electron mediating property for sertraline oxidation in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (PBS) at pH 7.0. ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles/SPE application in differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) is proved to entail apparent response for sertraline oxidation. In the concentration range 0.07-300.0 mu M in a PBS, pH 7.0, the responses were linear and sertraline detection limit for this method was 0.02 mu M (S/N = 3). This adjusted electrode was implemented to detect sertraline within real samples and proved to have sufficient results. Such results validate the fact that ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles are suitable for being applied in electrochemical sensors to analyze biochemical species. (C) 2019 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
